Still — Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 September 2026.
Still collects nothing about you. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising identifier, no tracking, no profiling, and no third-party SDK that does any of those things on our behalf. This is not a preference we could quietly change — the app has no server to send anything to.
What stays on your phone
Your favourites, recently played, sleep timer, breathing preferences, chosen scene and settings are written to this device and never leave it. Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else, because none is ever made.
What we cannot see
There is no Still server. We cannot see what you listen to, when you sleep, how long you breathe for, where you are, or that you use Still at all. We could not hand over your listening history if we were asked for it, because we do not have it.
Notifications
If you start a free trial, Still asks permission to send you one notification: a reminder two days before that trial becomes a paid subscription. It is scheduled on your device by iOS. We are not told whether you allowed it, whether it was delivered, or whether you opened it. Declining costs you nothing in the app, and you can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Still Plus is sold by Apple, not by us. Apple takes the payment and tells this app exactly one thing: whether a subscription is currently active. We never receive your name, your email, your address or your payment details, and we never see them. Apple's own privacy policy governs that part of the transaction.
Artificial intelligence
We think you should know how the app was made.
- The photographs in Still were generated with an AI image tool and edited by hand. They are not photographs of real places, and no real person appears in any of them.
- Many of the sounds are synthesised — built from scratch in code rather than recorded. Others are real recordings made by Grey Font Theory.
- The music is written and performed by Grey Font Theory. It is not AI-generated.
No AI runs inside the app, nothing you do is sent to an AI service, and nothing about you is used to train any model — ours or anyone else's.
Children
Still is not directed at children under 13, and collects no data from anyone of any age. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing we could knowingly or unknowingly gather from a child.
Your rights, wherever you are
Laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA give you rights to see, correct, export and delete the personal information a company holds about you, and to know whether it is sold or shared.
We hold none. There is nothing to disclose, export or delete, and nothing to opt out of. We have never sold or shared personal information, and we never will. If you want to be certain of erasure, deleting the app removes everything Still has ever written, because all of it is on your device.
Changes
If this ever changes — if a future version syncs your favourites between devices, say — it will be said here and on the App Store listing before it ships, not after, and the date at the top will change.
